Learning and Development Manager

Originally from Sweden, I used to train scuba divers in Asia for a number of years before finally landing in Edinburgh. I have always been really interested in the different ways people develop themselves and learn new things, so after finishing my HR degree I was really keen to work with learning programmes in one way or another. 

I joined the Academy as a volunteer in June 2016. After being made a member of staff in September I worked in the Southern Scotland hub, supporting the programme delivery across the region before moving into my current role as a Learning and Programme Manager with the Global Learning Lab.

In my role, I work on the design and development of both new and existing learning programmes. I also support the different hubs on how to build and develop a network of skilled facilitators to deliver Academy programmes.

In my spare time I am slowly but surely working my way towards an ICF Certificate in Professional Coaching Practice. I also enjoy the odd DIY project – especially if it includes a trip to IKEA!
