Last year, fourteen schools from across Scotland showcased their social enterprises in our schools special edition of the Big Issue magazine. It celebrated the incredible social enterprise activity happening in schools every day and allowed young people to gain new skills by selling the magazine in their schools and communities. People love hearing about social enterprise activity in schools, and the magazine will be read by millions of people, so feel free to make your content as creative as possible to keep them hooked! We encourage submission before the end of this term in case we need further information.
1 Our Education Administrator will share the submission link using the email address you have registered with.
2 Use the submission form to send us a short paragraph describing your social enterprise clearly. Try to explain both your social or environmental purpose and the trading activity that supports it, talk about the impact it has had on your school, community and the individuals involved. This will be used to give readers detail about your social enterprise.
3 Use the submission form to send through your creative content that showcases your social enterprise. You can use drawings, photos, interviews, a comic or something completely different. This will be the main feature of your submission. Your submission doesn't have to be polished the team at the Big Issue love to get a huge variety of different content. Think about the communities you support and the impact you have had.
