Anne Houston

Southern Scotland

I deliver a range of programmes including leadership certificates, advanced leadership modules and coaching skills. These vary across our open programmes to bespoke programmes for specific organisations or sectors.

In addition, I offer facilitated strategy and team building sessions for senior teams and organisations. My approach has been described as people-centred and inclusive and I am a qualified coach and Myers Briggs Type Indicator practitioner.

I have a strong understanding of the challenges facing the voluntary sector and social enterprises, having worked with many of them either directly or indirectly during her career to date. I have facilitated programmes with a range of Academy clients, including Just Enterprise, Voluntary Health Scotland, Quality Scotland, Changeworks, Foundation Scotland and CO3 in Northern Ireland.

Prior to working for the Academy, I worked for the last 25 years at senior management level within the public sector of Western Scotland, having experience in regeneration, local government administration, and further and higher education. Much of my practice has been developed through partnership working in many education and regeneration projects over the years.

I am also qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming and Social Auditing and am an accredited coach with the UK Association for Coaching. I have significant experience of delivering leadership training, coaching and personal development, particularly within the public and third sector.
