Jane is a partner in an award-winning sustainable architecture practice and founder and director of Lets Live Local CIC – a social enterprise aiming to encourage communities to meet as many of their needs as possible from within their local resource base.


 Jane has also recently become a Trustee of Moffat Youth Theatre, which supports young people up to the age of 25 in developing their confidence and self-worth.

Previously Jane managed collaborative projects between the education and private sector before moving to local government. There she worked in local economic development projects, co-ordinated regional funding bids, developed policy and programmes at regional level, and introduced Community Horizons – a community development process based on future search techniques.

She has considerable experience of rural economic development, of community processes and of the social, economic and environmental aspects of sustainability.
