Hannah Smith

Southern Scotland

Hannah is a coach, consultant and facilitator who splits her time between Scotland and New Zealand.

With a background in social enterprise development, she now specialises in working with people and change in outdoor environments.  Her practical, experiential approach draws on Co-Active coaching, eco-therapy, systems thinking, creative facilitation practice and action learning techniques. She has previously worked with enterprising charities, progressive foundations and leading social entrepreneurs. Highlights include setting up the UK arm of social business Better World Books and developing an award-winning British Council programme for young people in the Middle East.

A natural systems thinker she once wrote a Masters thesis exploring our fascination with ‘heroic’ entrepreneurs in social change processes. She is co-founder of The Point People -  an increasingly international collective of systems builders - and a Winston Churchill Fellow.

She is an optimist, a connector, a champion of quieter voices and - more than anything - she loves to be outdoors.
