Jillian Robertson | I am an entrepreneur, Forest School Leader and Facilitator. I use my skill and passion to bring the outdoor environment to life for young people, adult groups & corporate teams. I am fascinated by the way that the shared experience of getting closer to nature helps people to communicate more effectively.
I was born and brought up in Glasgow as part of a family that spent a lot of time living out of doors with their mountaineering father. This time spent in various corners of the Highlands gave me a real love of nature, which has driven my thinking and direction ever since.
My early work in the environment was in urban forestry, in a role which saw me engaging with communities to encourage them to play an active role in the management of their local woodlands. I went on to set up a consultancy business in Hong Kong and on returning to Scotland, I started Wild Art, a successful arts and crafts business working with adults and kids across the Highlands.
I have built up rich experience in working with corporate, adult mixed ability, school groups and families. I am a co-founder of a successful Learning & Development consultancy, a Director of an Outdoor Learning CIC and I am currently finding time for my part-time Social Psychology degree.
Outside of work, I manage to juggle being a mother of two fantastically active children with my own sporting passions of skiing and mountain biking.
