I am a resident of Lilongwe, a holder of diploma in Food, Nutrition and Livelihood Security. Being a woman who is passionate about education and is a firm believer of continuous improvement, I am currently increasing my knowledge by pursuing a Bachelor's of Business Administration course.
Over the years I have drawn my inspiration from working with people from the grassroots through teaching in community secondary schools within Lilongwe, where I particularly enjoyed working with the girl child for over seven years. Currently I am working as an Agriculture Extension Development Officer, a role in which I am responsible for providing extension services to farmers by conducting farmers' trainings in seed production, seed certification and utilization, livestock management in both small stock and major livestock. Besides that, I work with different non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with interest in the welfare of Malawian farmers by conducting and supervising research in new technologies related to crop production and livestock management.
I have undergone special training in valuation addition in spices by Feed the Future India Triangular Training (FTT ITT). I have also undergone trainings in introduction to leadership, introduction to social enterprise and practitioner-led learning exchange, conducted by Social Enterprise Academy (SEA). Currently I am being trained by SEA as a facilitator.
I am a board member of Dream Team 15, a team of professionals from various fields aimed at Being role models and motivators to the youth by providing guidance and mentorship, as well as support them in different ways until they realize their full potential, with goal of seeing a Malawi which has aggressive youths and vibrant human capital. I am also a founding partner of a project called Noah's Ark whose vision and mission is to provide respectful and reasonably comfortable life and care to the elderly of Lilongwe and surrounding areas, while preserving the wisdom they possess, through establishment of a home and mobile services.
