It will identify the tools, skills, mind-sets and behaviours required to support communities and organisations to develop their capacity to address local problems in an enterprising way. You will learn how social enterprise approaches can complement and enhance CLD strategy.

The social enterprise approach is a values and purpose driven way to address local issues in a more sustainable way.

In 2016, the Scottish Government published their ambitious and innovative ten-year, national social enterprise strategy. This set out their shared ambition for social enterprise in Scotland, jointly developed with the sector.
As part of the Scottish Government’s ten-year Social Enterprise Strategy, there is a firm commitment to work with the community learning and development sector to harness their potential and expertise to support the social enterprise strategy for the benefit of individuals and communities. This programme is, therefore, being funded by the Scottish Government as part of their ten-year Strategy.
