Social Enterprise Connect: A Community of Practice for Social Entrepreneurs
Social Enterprise Connect (SEC) is an exciting new Community of Practice (COP) for social entrepreneurs in South Africa. It seeks to build a strong social enterprise ecosystem, by creating platforms for sharing and learning through peer engagement.
Social Enterprise Connect consists of in-person learning and networking events across South Africa and an online resource platform for impact leaders. Learning events are centred on connecting and partnering with other social enterprises and learning from each other. Born out of a partnership between Social Enterprise Academy Africa and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), this CoP is focused on “Linking Change-makers to Learn, Collaborate and Grow”. It provides a safe space for entrepreneurs to discuss their needs, problems and possible solutions within the social impact space.
