Social Enterprise Schools Annual Awards Edinburgh Announced
This year we are excited to announce that our Awards will take place at a new and bigger venue, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 20 June 2025 10.00am – 2.00pm. A huge thank you to EICC for partnering with us for this event and for their support ensuring that it is neuroinclusive.
This event celebrates and showcases the brilliant social enterprises run by young people of all ages and abilities across Scotland. We deliver Social Enterprise Schools programme across Scotland from the age of 5 to 18. Our young people identify a social issue they care about and develop a trading social enterprise to make an impact on the issue.
The day includes a social enterprise marketplace, where the young people will share their social enterprise experiences. Their day is greatly enhanced by partners’ presence and input, and we regularly get feedback from partners on how engaging with the young people inspired and lifted them, too.
The Theme:
This year our theme is “A World of Opportunity”. This theme is designed to inspire our young people to open up their opportunity to a positive destination. There are several ways organisations can get involved in supporting our young people.
Join us:
We would be delighted to welcome you to join our event, you can register here.
Marketplace:
We are keen to partner with organisations who are interested in connecting with young people and educators by securing one of our sponsored marketplace stalls in our “Opportunity” zone. This zone will be in our main marketplace area featuring over 60 schools from across Scotland as well as non-exhibiting schools and education partners. You may want to boost the profile of your organisation or industry, connect with potential future employees or showcase employment opportunities and apprenticeships that young people may not be aware of. This is about supporting young people by inspiring them increasing visibility of the opportunities available to them, supporting them to reach a positive future.
Named Awards:
Further sponsorship opportunities are available during our awards ceremony. We are excited to offer partners the option to sponsor a named award where their employees will select a winner from a shortlist of schools and have the chance to present this to the winning school on the day.
Travel Sponsor:
It is vital that all the young people who take part in the programme have the opportunity to celebrate their achievements. Unfortunately, one of the biggest barriers to attending the awards in person is restricted access to travel budget. To give all young people the opportunity to attend, we would like to set up a transport fund for schools who need support with these costs.
