We are thrilled to celebrate the impactful strides being made in the Philippines to empower women social entrepreneurs, especially those in rural areas, through the Women-Helping-Women: Innovating Social Enterprises programme. Social Enterprise Academy was honoured to be involved in delivering leadership sessions as part of this initiative.

At the heart of this initiative is a commitment to bridging the gender gap in entrepreneurship and fostering an environment where women-led businesses can thrive and contribute to socioeconomic development. Witnessing the passion and determination of these women to drive positive change in their communities has been truly inspiring.

Launched by the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, this programme exemplifies a collaborative effort between government agencies and private organisations. Its comprehensive suite of services, including funding, training, mentorship, and access to technology, equips women entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital economy.

As we celebrate the accomplishments of the ongoing Women-Helping-Women programme, we invite you to watch the video below showcasing the participants and their journey towards entrepreneurial success.
